Avocados are a mystical fruit associated with healing, love, and beauty. With so many health benefits such as vitamin c, vitamin e, and antioxidants, it makes up a part of so many peoples' diets. Recycling the pits and skin to create dye is a great way to prolong their life before being thrown into compost bins. In this class, students will learn how to make a dye bath, what type of mordants to use, and how to use the cold dye and hot dye methods to repurpose seeds. Included: $10 materials fee.
