In this course the student will be able to draw a landscape of their choice using professional grade colored pencils. Each week we will cover in detail an art topic as it relates to landscapes and then each student will continue to draw their individual landscape. This course can be taken by beginners to advanced artists wishing to further than skills. If you are a beginner to colored pencil we can start with how to use various marks with the pencils to achieve different looks, if a more advanced artist we will study the principles of design and how to apply those to your particular landscape, etc. This is a 10 week course, 2 hours a week and we will cover the following topics: Principles of Design, Light and Shadows, Color Theory & Color in Landscapes, Trees & Foliage, Skies & Clouds, Composition & Space, Drawing Water, Perspective, Lighting Situations, Snow, Rain & Fog.
