Handbuilding 101

This online course is perfect for anyone who would like to dip their toes into hand building with clay at home. Whether you're new to clay or usually throw on the wheel and miss getting your hands in clay, this course will inspire you to get making! Students will learn how to make small work that can be functional, decorative and sculptural. Using both coils and slabs, each class will be a fresh exploration of texture, composition and design. In addition, Karlene will spice up every demo with a little ceramic art history to get the creative juices flowing! The art kit will contain all supplies; materials and firing are included in the class fee.

*Those registering will be contacted to come and pick up their art kit at the studio. This class is a hybrid. The students will come to the Center to pick up their art kit; they will have the classes in the comfort of their homes, and meet in the studio only to glaze their finished work. Arrangements can be made for students unwilling to come to the Center.
