Looking at Photographs

Looking at Photographs image
Learn what makes a great photograph and why some images have a vibrant spirit about them, while others seem flat and boring. In this course we’ll analyze both journalistic and artistic photographs from historical images to modern digital photography. You will gain an understanding of what elements make a photograph sing and how you can apply that to your own photography (or collecting!). Students will share their favorite photographs and participate in a final peer-review session. Additional fee: Saturday field trip to George Eastman Museum $5 – free to Museum members.
