Job Description: Ceramics Office Coordinator

Job Summary: Itemizes all firing tickets and creates and logs bills for 70 studio artists’ firing fees and rent; assists in the management of 70 studio artists and 40+ walk in renters; coordinates all volunteers and hosts, as well as the artists contracts, and finds vendors for the Flower City Pottery Invitational ("FCPI"); finds sponsorship opportunities for FCPI; maintains all aspects of the financials for FCPI; coordinates all volunteers and hosts for the event; records and manages all sales in the Firehouse Gallery and Gallery store; assists in the planning and installation for gallery exhibits and events; pays artist’s commissions monthly; prepares weekly financial statement for auditor; assists in all office duties; helps to maintain Open Studio usage.

Reports to: Program Director, Ceramics

Knowledge/Skills required: Database knowledge; basic computer skills; awareness of ceramic processes and trends; attention to detail; maintain financial records; experience working with the public; pleasant telephone skills and interpersonal communications skills.

Responsibilities: Billing; office organization; coordinates Flower City Pottery Invitational; customer service; maintains the renter database and is a liaison for on-boarding/de-instating studio artists

Minimum Qualifications: BFA or MFA preferred; 2-3 years’ experience in a ceramic studio or office; basic ceramic knowledge

Hours: 15 per week

Salary: $15 per hour
