Our students are 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students who attend either Wilson Foundation Academy or James Monroe Highschool. You will be working with the same group of 5 students throughout the program.

Teachers meet for 22 teaching sessions either: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday the week of November 30th 2020 through the week of May 28th 2021. Attendance is also required for two training sessions before the beginning of the program, along with the program’s culminating Awards Ceremony, Book Release, and Exhibition Reception at The Link Gallery in City Hall, dates TBD.

We have a specific need for bi-lingual teachers to work with our Spanish speaking students from James Monroe High School on Wednesdays.

Lead teachers MUST

Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, and InDesign
Have some prior experience working with youth and be willing to establish mentoring relationships.
Commit to ALL meetings and be consistently available via phone or email.
