Mary Barringer

Artist Statement

Working in clay imposes a different relationship to time: clay’s processes and transformations, the long, long history of pottery, and the permanence of the medium all carry one far from the fast-moving now. What I experience as a maker, I hope to convey to the hands and eyes of the user.
