This workshop is designed for students who have completed Kallitype Level I or II at FCAC and are looking for supported independent practice time with guidance from experienced instructors.
The class will begin with a brief review of procedures, chemistry prep, and setup of the Silver Den and darkroom. Students will then have dedicated time to refine their printing techniques, including coating paper, making exposures, and processing prints, while receiving real-time feedback and support.
Students must bring ready-to-print negatives, paper, brushes, and sensitizer solutions (Silver Nitrate and Ferric Oxalate). The course fee includes shared darkroom chemistry, including Kallitype developer, selenium toner, and fixer.
Please note: this workshop focuses on printing techniques only. Participants will not be able to create or print new negatives during class.
Pre-requisite: Alternative Process: Kallitype or Kallitype II.
