Intro to Audio Engineering will provide a hands-on introduction to analog and digital mixer options. Topics will cover engineering terminology, mixing, equalizing, and recording live sound. We will discuss microphone placement, engaging effects, in-ear monitoring systems, and various software options.
This course is great for solo artists, those wanting to mix/record sound and live performances, or those looking to do audio for churches, music venues, and theatres.
Mixers used in this course include Zoom L-20 Mixer, Soundcraft UI24 Mixer, and Behringer X-32 Mixer.
We will also take a field trip to visit an audio engineering system in a local venue.
