Building a Puppet Theatre for Teens

Building a Puppet Theatre for Teens image
Do you imagine different worlds populated by beings that live in your imagination? In this six week class you will combine storytelling and different puppetry techniques to create interactive and colorful projects! Students will learn how to construct crankies, paper puppets and a tabletop toy theatre where they will play out their stories. What is a crankie? It’s an illustrated story, painted or drawn, on a scroll that is viewed by “cranking” it through a box/screen. Each student will be encouraged to find their own unique voice and vision throughout the workshop. Materials for this class will be supplied.
