In this one-day workshop students will learn how to print their own photograph or design onto a reusable tote bag using the cyanotype process! The cyanotype process produces a beautiful, rich monochromatic blue print. Students will be taught how to make digital negatives out of their own images, how to properly apply the cyanotype chemistry to their tote bag, and how to expose their tote bag. No prior darkroom experience necessary!
$15 material fee included. One natural white cotton tote bag will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring extra cotton tote bags in case there is time to make more! White or light colored bags are highly recommended. Students are encouraged to bring several digital files to choose (one) from.
