Environmental Portraits

Environmental Portraits image
A good portrait tells a story about your subject. Weave the subject's environment into the story. Learn how to let the setting be more than just a background. Topics will include working with available light, light modifiers, point-of-view, natural framing, and visual rhythm. There will be one field trip -- determined by students for hand-on practice -with independent assignments between classes and in-class critique and discussion. Working knowledge of your camera and curiosity required.
