As photographers, we need to understand light. In the interest of creating dramatic images, we can also learn to control a light source. The use of a speedlight/hot shoe flash (on & off camera) is often a readily accessible piece of gear for that purpose. In this class, we'll examine the flash units students have, view examples of lighting, and discuss how each student can create various lighting effects with their equipment.
Students should arrive in class with a camera (with hot shoe), SD card & flash. Don't forget to bring charged batteries! If you have triggers or modifiers, they are welcome. This class is a wonderful follow-up to Intro to Digital Photography!
