Go Retro with Film: Introduction to Photography

Take this introductory film photography class to build a strong foundation in photography and gain hands-on experience in the darkroom. No prior experience is required.

Learn how to use a 35mm film camera and understand the fundamentals of exposure, including f-stops, shutter speeds, ISO, and proper metering. You’ll also learn how to process your own film and create black-and-white prints in our darkrooms. If you have a 35mm film camera, please bring it. Otherwise, you may request to borrow one of ours (credit card required for security deposit).

Included: Access to the darkrooms for the duration of the class.

Supplies Needed: Film and paper.

You may purchase an Ilford Film and Paper Starter Pack through us at checkout (includes 25 sheets of 8x10 paper and 2 rolls of HP5+ film), or provide your own supplies.
