Indigo + Shibori + Ice Dye

Explore modern and traditional dye techniques in this hands-on workshop! In the first session, students will learn the alchemy of an indigo dye vat and experiment with shibori-inspired folding and binding techniques to create beautiful patterns on fabric. The second session will include fiber-reactive dye powders in a process known as ice dying which results in colorful abstract patterns.

Each participant will be given five square blocks for dying each week. Additionally, students may bring their own 100% cotton or other natural fabrics in ¼ yard pieces for dying.
