Intro to Watercolor Painting

Beginner watercolor art classes are the perfect way to explore and express your inner artist. If you have never painted before or are looking for a refresher course, this class is for you!

This 4-day course will teach you various techniques, including paintbrush usage, color mixing, color application, masking, and more. Learn how to choose subject matter and find your unique painting style. This class is a warm and encouraging approach to painting with transparent colors.

This class takes place in the MORNING, 9am - NOON.

Please bring the following materials with you on the first class. Materials can be purchased at Rochester Art Supply, Michaels, or online.

• pencil + eraser
• 9" x 12" (or larger) cold press watercolor paper pad
• #12 or #14 round watercolor brush
• 3/4" flat watercolor brush
• watercolors, if already purchased (if not, wait)
• paper towel roll
