Long Exposure: Capturing Light & Motion

Long Exposure: Capturing Light & Motion image
Join us for a hands-on exploration of long-exposure photography and learn to capture motion in a way that only the camera can see. Whether smoothing out waterfalls, creating light trails, or shooting starry night skies, this class will help you master the techniques needed to achieve your desired results. We’ll cover essential skills like controlling shutter speed, using neutral density filters, and balancing exposure for creative effects. Field trips to scenic locations will give you the chance to apply long-exposure techniques in real-world settings with your instructor present for guidance and support. This class is a good mix of instruction and practice, with time to refine your shots and troubleshoot challenges in the field. Field trip locations in and around Rochester will be chosen based on conditions. Students must provide their own transportation.
