Mending through Embroidery and Photography

Mending through Embroidery and Photography image

Explore the intersection of restorative art and personal history in this unique workshop. This class invites you to view "fixing" not just as a practical task, but as a therapeutic and artistic practice, a way to navigate individual healing and contribute to a sense of collective repair.

Using photography as our canvas and embroidery as our tool for restoration, we will practice the art of the "visible mend."

Instead of hiding the fractures in our stories or our images, we will highlight them with gold thread, intricate stitches, and intentional interventions.
