Bookbinding: Piano Hinge Binding
Piano hinge books are so named because their hinged spines look like the long hinges on the instrument lid. Dowels hold this no sew, no glue multiple signature book together. Weaving the sticks through the signatures creates a distinctive woven look on the spine.
