queering space
Empowering creative voices in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community with dedicated time to be present with and learn from one another. This new program is designed for and supported by the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, including funding from the Rochester Area Community Foundation’s LGBT+ Giving Circle.
All studio sessions will provide opportunities for folks of all ages to cultivate their creative instincts and engage with materials by hand. No cost to attend - registration is required.
The first session in our Queering Space series will launch three new collaborative projects.
This multi-media studio session will incorporate hands-on demonstrations in letterpress printing, fabric dyeing and no-sew appliqué to kick-off our community quilt project. There will be additional open studio space and drawing materials for starting new self-directed work. Participants may also bring in-progress work from home.
