Ceramic Garden Totems
Using a variety of wheel-throwing and hand-building techniques you will create large beads for a two-foot-tall garden totem sculpture. Artist-in-Residence Josh DiFabio will demonstrate how to create a base form out of concrete and steel rod upon which students will design their individual pieces. Totem segments will be glazed and fired; students will pick up their glazed pieces and assemble their totem at home. Class fee covers all materials and firing.
