Surface Design: Slip Decoration
This four-week course covers different methods of application and techniques, including sgraffitto, inlay (also known as sangam or Mishima), and trailing. The use of underglazes will also be discussed as well as different glazing techniques and strategies. Pre made tiles will be provided for practice and students are encouraged to bring their own leather hard work to class to decorate. The class fee covers tiles, firing, and a sgraffito tool.
