Superheroes, Archetypes, and Idols: Reimagining Feminine Role Models Through Self-Portraiture

Superheroes, Archetypes, and Idols: Reimagining Feminine Role Models Through Self-Portraiture image
We are witnessing a shift in the scope and representation of what it means to be female in contemporary culture. Using mythology, depth psychology, and gender polarity to inform your understanding of the feminine, you will develop your own powerful feminine archetype and/or superhero. Using the resourcefulness akin to Cindy Sherman’s History Portraits, you will create a self-portrait modeled as your new avatar. All genders, ages, and levels welcome.
