The Heidelberg Platen Press
Learn the ins and outs of one of printing history’s most versatile presses, the Heidelberg “windmill” platen press. In this class we’ll go over basic operation, set up, and make ready using hand set type and/or photo polymer plates. We will also learn how to set up and run different weights of paper, do proper make-ready and set the correct impression on this amazing production press. Time allowed we will dive deeper into multi-color registration and other tips and tricks.
