Urban Sketching

Learn to make ink and watercolor drawings in a sketchbook. In this class, students will learn the basic skills of ink and watercolor sketching while expanding their knowledge of rendering an urban environment and perspective. By the end of the class, students should have the confidence and proficiency to carry a sketchbook and illustrate their experiences. All levels are welcome.

This class takes place in the MORNING, 9am - NOON.

MATERIALS LIST:

(Please bring the following supplies to your first class. They can be purchased at Michaels, Rochester Art Supply, or online.)

- pencils: 4H, 2B, 4B

- eraser

- stack of white index cards (at least 20, but the more the better)

- sketch book (roughly 8" x 10" - the spiral bound ones are excellent)

- watercolors + brush (if you have them)

- fine tip black marker/pen
