Join us on First Friday, August 2, from 6 - 9pm for the opening reception of "Down, to Earth." This exhibition features work Jacob Dambra and Terry O'Brien created during their Ceramics Residency.

Jacob Dambra is a ceramic sculptor from Livonia, New York. Dambra attended Rochester Institute of Technology for Ceramics. After graduating, Jacob built exhibits at the Rochester Museum and Science Center and teaches at the Memorial Art Gallery and RIT. Their work uses animal and figurative imagery to discuss queerness, religion, and relationships.

Terry O'Brien is a potter working with stoneware and slip coated earthenware. He received his BS in Psychology from Boston University in 2007. He started his journey in ceramics taking classes at the Flower City Arts Center. He strives to emphasize the materiality and age of clay in his functional pottery.

This exhibition will be displayed in our Firehouse Gallery until August 31.
