Expanding the Field Youth Program Open House

We have space for youth!

Expanding the Field is having an Open House Friday September 24th from 3:30-6pm, featuring A Taste of the Arts that will include short art activities in each of our program areas: Photography & Digital Arts, Printmaking & Book Arts, and Ceramics!

The event will also feature a show-and-tell by 2 local young artists and entrepreneurs, Sachi Jump and Jahfeith Elliott. We hope that youth interested in pursuing careers in the visual arts will come out and see the real opportunities available for them to succeed in the Expanding the Field program now accepting applications to join! Born March 8th in Jamaica and raised in Bronx, NY. I am a professional lifestyle & boudoir photographer of 3.5 years. I’ve accomplished becoming a certified Getty Image contributor, and am inspired by the natural beauty that comes from within each of my unique encounters during my photography sessions and networking parties. Jahfeieth Elliott is a Rochester born artist who expresses the everyday life around him through visual communication with photography. He became interested in photography in his high school years as a way of documenting life around him and capturing those permanent memories with family and friends. In his personal work, he explores documentary photography, fine art photography, and street photography by documenting the environment in which he finds creativity interesting. He seeks to be a voice for urban communities by bringing forth compelling images and stories of people who are otherwise unnoticed in the media.
