Join us for an Open Studio with Riso Print Project artist Julia J. Wolfe.
This Open Studio is designed for visitors to learn about Risograph printing and see what Julia has made throughout the month of November in the Book Arts Studio.
Julia is an interdisciplinary artist. She received her M.F.A. and M.A. from the University of Iowa and B.A. from Rhodes College, as well as a post-baccalaureate certificate from Brandeis University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and included in numerous art publications, such as New American Paintings and Studio Visit Magazine. Wolfe has completed residencies at Vermont Studio Center, Flower City Arts Center, Public Space One in Iowa City, and Burren College of Art in County Clare, Ireland. She currently lives in Rochester, NY, with her husband and child and their two cats, two dogs, and too many houseplants.
The Riso Print Project is a month-long program that provides subsidized access to the Risograph duplicator for the creation of limited-edition printed works. Eight artists were selected by a panel of jurists after a Call for Proposals in June 2026. Each artist is awarded a printing stipend, materials budget, and technical support throughout their month-long access period.
The Riso Print Project is made possible through the generous support of the Phillip’s Family Philanthropic Fund.
