Paul Miller gives life to this exhibition of photographs from the International Theatre Program at the University of Rochester. This retrospective of productions from 2003 through 2006 is sure to capture your imagination. During the course of three years, Paul Miller has documented twelve major dramatic productions at the University of Rochester's International Theatre Program. During that time he exposed over 12,000 images. Now, 23 of his best, most dramatic photographs are on display at the Community Darkroom at the Genesee Center for the Arts and Education. A combination of digital and conventional photographic techniques were used to create the images, which range in emotion from the lyrical to the brutal. They show the powerful way in which the theatre communicates to us, as well as the immense talents of countless actors, performers and designers. More information about the show, an essay about the photographic techniques that Paul used, and even some photographs that -- well -- didn't quite make it into the show can be found at http://theatre.theoryofpaul.net.
