Join us for our new artist talk series celebrating diverse perspectives and practices in studio arts. This series aims to foster dialogue, connection, and inspiration through the lens of contemporary visual artists.
Our third featured artist in this series is Scott McCarney, an artist, designer, and educator based in Rochester, New York. Since the 1980s he has been making books as works of art that explore many media, from offset and digital printing to sculptural installation.
His bookworks can be found in public and private collections all over the world including the Museum of Modern Art, New York; Victoria & Albert Museum, London; and Yale University Art Gallery, among others. His work is shown internationally (Sao Paulo, Brazil; Melbourne, Australia; Baku, Azerbaijan) as well as closer to home (Hallwalls, Buffalo NY; Everson Museum, Syracuse NY; Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester NY).
