Alejandra Yuja

2022 Printmaking & Book Arts Resident

Alejandra Yuja Vaquiz is a multidisciplinary artist whose mediums include clothing design, jewelry design, printmaking, painting and more. She earned a B.F.A in Fashion Design from Miami International University of Art and Design. Her work has been featured in Miami Swim Week fashion shows, and published in Avessa Magazine and WGSN. Originally from Honduras, she moved to Rochester, NY to continue the self exploration that creating brings. Focusing on creating pieces that are visually impactful while reaching into her emotional world, she looks to evoke deep feelings of reconstruction of the psyche. Nature surrounds all of us, and Yuja strives to connect her work with our natural world.
