erin connorton (they/them) is a Rochester, New York based film photographer specializing in portraiture and double exposures. Driven by visual memory and fear of forgetting, erin’s photographs are a juxtaposition of real life documentation and experimental portraiture. Many of the images that erin makes reflect the results of alternative film developing experiments using plants, coffee and beer. Using imperfect processes challenges their sense of perfectionism in their photographic practice and allows them to embrace unpredictable results.
