Ferris Ramirez

2026 Printmaking & Book Arts Resident

Ferris Ramirez is an interdisciplinary, image-based artist living and working in Rochester, NY. With a background in graphic design, he brings a sensitivity to sequence, layout, and spatial form that drives his work in photobooks, video, installation, sculpture, and collage. His work examines the slippages of memory, the boundaries where fantasy falters, and tenderness within violence shaped by his experiences as a queer Filipino American. Ferris has exhibited across New York at Flower City Arts Center, Art Society of Kingston, Queen City 15 Fine Art Gallery, and the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art. He received his MFA in Photography & Related Media at Rochester Institute of Technology and BFA in Photography from SUNY New Paltz.
