Frances de Lyra Barker

Frances de Lyra Barker is a multidisciplinary artist based in Rochester, NY. Originally from Maine, his practice is grounded in a familial tradition of fine art and commercial printmaking and textile tailoring. Frances attended the Maine College of Art, receiving a BFA in 2018, and began incorporating ceramic sculpture and interdisciplinary mediums to his practice to elevate traditional folk imagery and practices into functional, utilitarian, and decorative arts.
