Hannah Faas
2026 Ceramics Resident
Hannah Faas is a ceramic artist from Hamilton, Ontario and based in Rochester, New York. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Craft and Design from Sheridan College. She has exhibited across Canada, the US, and South Korea and has completed residencies at the LUX Center for the Arts and Medalta. Hannah has received awards from Craft Ontario, the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, and AX Arts Centre. Her first permanent public art installation was completed in 2025 and is located in Montréal, Québec. Through sculptural and domestic objects, she uses ornamentation, excess, and humor to explore themes of domesticity, femininity, sweetness, and frivolity, challenging perceptions of what is considered valuable, serious, or worthy of attention.
