Kat Patterson

Kat Patterson is a multimedia artist whose mediums include printmaking, costume, jewelry design and more. She earned a M.F.A. in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as well as B.F.A in Printmaking and B.A. in Theatre Arts from SUNY New Paltz. She is also the owner of ChimeraKat Studio, a handmade jewelry business based out of Rochester NY. While her background and experiences are varied, she considers herself first and foremost a portraitist and character designer. As an analyzer of figures and their personal expression, her portraiture and wearable art acts as another means for her to explore humanity’s consummate obsession with self image.
