Lynne Hobaica
2010 Ceramics Resident
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Lynne developed a passion for ceramics in the midst of her college career, while pursuing a B.F.A. in the History of Art at Syracuse University. Already feeling an enjoyment for the material and process of ceramics, she was pulled in further by the welcoming, close-knit community of SU’s ceramics department. Lynne recently earned her M.F.A. at the University of Arts and Industrial Design in Linz, Austria. In addition to focusing on creating functional ceramics inspired by the histories of art and her own personal life, Lynne has worked in several galleries and museums including the Everson Museum and the Gandee Gallery. She's also a former Artist-in-Residence at Genesee Pottery.
