Marval A Rex is a queer and precious force of nature. With the marriage of a penetrating New York eye and loud Los Angeles aesthetic, Rex infuses queer theory into the materiality and methodology of artistic studio practice. Beyond the studio, Rex acts as a performative contagion for the celebration of queer futurity and its resonance within a liberating spirituality. For Rex the future has infinite potential-- one that can be harnessed and made manifest in the present. It is in the raucous celebration (and disruption) of the everyday that Rex looks to build the future.
