Vivian Rivers

Vivian Rivers (she/her) was born and raised in Western New York. After living in several places around the country, she is now settled in Rochester, NY where she documents her life primarily on 35mm film. Vivian is inspired by Mary Oliver’s encouragement to readers to “Pay Attention. Be Astonished. Tell About It.” Her photography journey is grounded by the art of noticing and slowing down, which is necessary in an analog format and a major reason she prefers shooting film.
