2024 Friends of the Press Calendar

Our 2024 “Friends of the Press” calendar is now for sale!

This calendar is a collaboration of over a dozen artists & friends of the Printmaking & Book Arts department at Flower City Arts Center.

Local artists have produced this calendar for over ten years. Each artwork in this calendar was printed in our historic firehouse on Monroe Ave. using various techniques including screen printing, letterpress, linocut, woodcut, and Risograph.

The calendar is an edition of 250, with the first 50 signed by the artists in a Special Artist Edition. The Special Artist Edition also includes an embossed seal on the cover.

The featured artists this year include Mitch Ahern, Victoria Brzustowicz, Chris Charles (Moon Rabbit Press), Jessica Cheng, John Chichester & Kat Patterson (ChimeraKat Studio), Elaine Cohen, Susan Doran, Leah Mackin, Skyla Pisciotti, Emily Pontanares, Madelyn Posey (Posey Letterpress), Mitch Sanders, Roy Sowers, Ben Taylor, Alejandra Yuja Vaquiz, Julia J. Wolfe, and Sally Wood Winslow. Grids designed by Rachel Oatridge and printed by Ry-Gan Printing Inc.

If you are a Rochester local, we encourage you to stop by Flower City Arts Center to purchase a calendar in person in the Book Arts Studio. Calendars will also be for sale at Hedonist Artisan Ice Cream throughout the month of December.

This year, we are also offering a bulk discount. If you purchase 5 or more Basic Edition calendars (in one transaction), they will be $25 apiece. Bulk purchases must be made in person in the Book Arts Studio at 713 Monroe Ave.
