Artists' Bios:

Julia J. Wolfe is a multidisciplinary artist based in Rochester, NY. She earned her M.F.A./M.A. from the University of Iowa and her B.A. from Rhodes College, and she received a post-baccalaureate certificate from Brandeis University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and published in Studio Visit Magazine and New American Paintings. Through painting, drawing, printmaking, knitting, sculpture, writing, and installation, her practice reflects upon themes of childhood and times of innocence, alongside the shared human experience of growth.

Kat Patterson is a multimedia artist whose mediums include printmaking, costume, jewelry design, and more. She earned an M.F.A. in Costume Design from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as well as B.F.A in Printmaking and B.A. in Theatre Arts from SUNY New Paltz. She is also the owner of ChimeraKat Studio, a handmade jewelry business based out of Rochester NY. While her background and experiences are varied, she considers herself first and foremost a portraitist and character designer. As an analyzer of figures and their personal expression, her portraiture, and wearable art act as another means for her to explore humanity’s consummate obsession with self-image.

This event is free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you at 713 Monroe Ave!
